Chris Pavlov

Chris Pavlov was born in Radovis, Macedonia.  At the age of 18, Pavlov moved to Salzburg, Austria where he studied the German language and worked as an artist.  When Pavlov moved to the US in 2004 he joined the Santa Barbara Arts and Crafts Show.  In 2007, Pavlov opened the Pavlov Art Gallery in Solvang.

This artist uses bold color, shape and design to create landscapes filled with playful expression and deep somber moods. His strong use of color and line give a unique modern twist and artistic turn to what would be an otherwise ordinary landscape painting. This dramatic painting technique places this artist in a category beyond the normal landscape painter. His works are filled with expression, emotion and movement, something that only excellent artists with budding talents possess. His use of impasto enhances this mood he conveys and shows he is an observer of great artists of the past who not only use shape, color and subject to create expression but also movement and texture with the paint itself.
